September 21 — Oktober 19, 2019 2019 JUST GLASS
Opening hours: Tue - Fri 11am-6pm, Sa 11am-2pm closed on Su, Mo and on public holidays Glass making is a fascinating art. The hot glass that can take on a variety of shapes and colours. The interplay of craftsmanship and creative design that ensures that beautiful vessels are created at the end of the process. Unique pieces and small series that reflect the handwriting of the artist. But the refinement of glass with ornaments and pictorial representations and glass painting also belong to the great field of glass making, which we want to focus on once again in the Autumn Exhibition 2019. HANDWERKSFORM HANNOVER Since 1963 the Handwerksform Hannover has been providing an appropriate frame for Applied Arts professionals and their creative potential. Craftsmen, Arts & Crafts professionals and designers from Hannover, Lower Saxony and Germany as well as from Europe and Overseas find an exclusive platform here to present their work. For the past four decades the Handwerksform Hannover has realised more than 250 exhibitions, gaining recognition not only here in the capital of Lower Saxony, but much further afield, both nationally and internationally. We particularly emphasise and show work which is in content and expression contemporary and innovative, contributing to the further development of the Applied Arts. In this context we gladly receive great positive feedback from a continuously increasing audience of interested, committed and knowledgeable visitors.

2017 AUSTRIAN GLASS CORE
For the first edition of The Venice Glass Week, AtemporaryStudio and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA brings the best of Austrian glass design to Venice. Titled Austrian Glass Core, the exhibition aims to highlight the two main facets of glass design from Austria: the new and brave happening there right now, as well as the glass icons with their lasting impact. By recreating the mystical atmosphere of a Venetian furnace, the exhibits will be placed in a unique context that will put a special focus on the nature of the products, their genesis as well as their exclusivity. While being naturally incorporated in the rich tradition Venice has in the production of glass, this exhibition will put a novel and surprising spotlight on design coming from Austria. http://www.theveniceglassweek.com/tvgw/events/austrian-glass-core-3/?lang=en

2012 EUROPEAN SCULPTURE – methods, materials, poetry
„I am a passionate investigator of form, colour and light. My art does not reproduce what is visible, rather it makes things visible, revealing new dimensions hidden beneath the surface. I am interested in a poetic synthesis of memories and meditation, of observation and notes. It’s all about allegories. I am working in cycles, exploring an idea, image or allegorical reference through a number of related pieces that provide various approaches. Colour is a vital element that plays an important role in my art. An iterant theme is  nature, depicted by abstraction or radical reduction of the idea. The material presence of the glass objects scintillates according to both the quality and the angle of light and, of course, the place as an open and ambiguous system. Complex and yet visible spaces of meaning, interwoven with the optical illusionism of  the quality immanent in the material and its artistic treatment.“ Eva Moosbrugger in Exhibition Catalogue European Sculpture, p. 24.
